Is GRE necessary to study PhD in abroad for M.Sc (Chemistry) student?

Dear Sir, I want to do PhD from Abroad. Currently, I am studying M.Sc in Chemistry course. I have heard that I have to give GRE first for securing admission to PhD course. Is it really necessary?

There are different universities abroad that offer admission without GRE . These universities do not set GRE as mandatory criteria but prefer applications that include GRE scores.
The admission requirements for PhD without GRE .
*Masters degree from recognised university
*Academic transcripts for UG and PG qualification
*Some colleges will ask you to submit statement of purpose.
*Certificate of proficiency in English language , it includes scores of IELTS or TOEFL
*Letter of Recommendation
Some universities also require minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 for post bacculerate degree.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
