It is not possible to join CBI or any other department as an officer, just after qualifying secondary level of examination. To become eligible to be considered as an Officer in CBI, you will need to complete bachelors degree program (Graduation) in any discipline. Once you complete your bachelors degree program from a recognized university, you will have to qualify an entrance examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission. The examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission for recruitment of CBI Officer is known as Combined Graduate Level Examination. Apart from being a graduate, one must be within the age limit of 20-25 years. After qualifying the written examination and interview, you will become eligible to join CBI as an Sub-Inspector. For information regarding the Combined Graduate Level Examination and in order to keep yourself updated regarding the same, you must refer to the official website of Staff Selection Commission.
