DEAR SIR/MAM,
My date of birth was wrongly MENTIONED by 6 yrs(26.07.1996) from my original date of birth(26.07.1990) in my class 10th board exam. I PASSED 10TH CLASS IN 2005.I feel very unsecure about my future because I want become a PO IN BANKING SECTOR in future.I fear that if I am caught then my dream will break and so I want to correctify my date of birth now.I passed out my 10th board exam(SSC)IN 2005 and 12th from INTER board(2007) & B.TECH FROM JNTU IN (2011).Can i change it now.If yes please tell me the procedure.If not then tell me an alternative way how i can secure my future and remove the stress caused due to this problem.Please help me.I will be eagerly waiting for your reply.

If you need amendment in Name, Father's Name or Mother's Name in your Class 10 Marksheet, then you will have to surely visit the Regional Office of your Board.

CBSE has many regional offices all over India.

They are located in Ajmer, Panchkula, Delhi, Guwahati, Chennai, Trivandrum, Allahabad, Dehradun, Patna, Bhubaneswar regions of India.

You will have to visit the nearby regional office and ask for the amendment in Class X Marksheet.

There is a certain procedure for this amendment task.

You will have to submit an application form duly signed by your School principal along with the relevant documents to that regional office.

Also, you will have to submit your Marksheet in the regional office.

After a couple of weeks, you will get your amended marksheet at your home by courier.

In case, if you don't receive it, then you will have to collect it from the Regional Office.

but you can't correct your Date of birth in any documents actually No change in the date of birth once recorded in the Board's records shall be made.

If you have problem with your name or your parents so you can change by court and school permission,for changes you may need to following documents

Admission form filled in by the parents at the time of admission.

School Leaving Certificate

Portion of registration where details was filled about candidate at admission time.

You cannot change your date of birth in your class 10th certificate, the only way out for you is to get a fresh birth certificate by writing an application to the municipal officer that your birth certificate was not issued at the time of birth due to you being born in a remote area.
