Yes you can apply for improvement examination after scoring less percentage in B.Sc. You need to repeat the first year again and take examination along with the first year candidates. You also need to submit the registration fee and form again to register for the improvement examination.

It would be a better option if you continue with your 2nd year studies and try to score good marks in the second and third year to cover up the low marks in first year.
