Re: How to join engineering college after scoring 50% marks in 10+2?
Marks of 12th Std does not matter a lot for the admission in Engineering colleges. 50% is enough to for admission in any Engineering , but admission in Engineering course is done on the basis of rank in the respective engineering entrance exam. But there are reputed private engineering colleges like BITS-Pilani, Thaper University, DAICT- Gujarat etc. which provides admission on the basis of 12th Marks.
So if your marks would be more than 80% then it is easy for you to take admission directly through marks. But your marks is low hence then only way to take admission is through Rank. The list of those entrance exams are : IIT-JEE, BITSAT,UPTU CET, AMU CET, MPTU JEE, KIITEE, KEAM,EAMCET , AMIE, ECET, CUSAT, IPCET, COMED-K Apart from this there are so many college which conducts their own entrance exam. Now you have some options by which you can take admission in engineering courses. You can apply for any of the mentioned entrance exam because the minimum percentage criteria to seat in these exam is 45% only. You can visit to the official website of these all entrance exam to know the notification date. Generally forms will be released in the month of November & December .Hence start your preparation to get good rank. But before taking admission in Engineering courses you should think about the placement criteria too. Because there are very few companies which gives chance to students who have less than 60% marks in 10th, 12th & B.tech. The core branches of engineering are : Electrical , Mechanical & Civil. There are some more branches other than this like : Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Information Technology, Marine Engineering, Aviation Engineering, Mechtronics, Automobile Engineering etc. |
