my name is Punith Kumar SP I've passed 10th with 83.17% can I'm able to join Indian air force based on this qualification? or is there any option to join IAF based on diploma mechanical engineering branch after 10th? If yes, how it's possible can explain me?

No, diploma degree holder are not eligible to appear for NDA entrance examination. So right now after diploma you are not eligible for recruitment in Air Force.

The eligibility to appear for NDA examination is that the candidate must have passed 10+2 from any recognised board with PCM and English as main paper. The age limit to appear for examination is 16.5-19.5 years. Only male candidates are eligible to appear for examination

No. Now a time , You are not eligible to apply for IAF anyway. You can join IAF through NDA entrance after (10+2). NDA is conducted by UPSC twice a year. After NDA written exam , You have to go through Pilot Aptitude Test , Intelligence Obstacle , Group Test & Medical Test.

NDA Eligibility
- You must have Indian Citizenship.
- You should have passed (10+2) in science stream with PCM as a main subjects.
- Your born should not be earlier than 2nd July, 1997 and not later than 1st July, 2000 to apply for NDA 2016.

No, you can't join Indian Air Force (IAF) after passing your 10th standard with 83% aggregate marks from a Government recognised board. To join Indian Air Force, the minimum educational qualification required is completion of 12th standard or equivalent with Mathematics and Physics subjects from a Government recognised board.

To join Indian Air Force (IAF) after completion of your 12th standard, you have to appear in NDA examination. The NDA examination is conducted by UPSC twice a year in the months of April and September every year. For Entry in IAF under 'Y' group:

Technical cadre:-

A person is responsible for maintainance of ground equipments. He is involved in production and testing of aircraft and flying related equipments.

Eligibility:- Matriculate or equivalent exam with English.

Minimum 60% aggregate.

Non- Technical Cadre:-

A person responsible as an airman will assist and support officer.
Eligibility:- Matriculate with 45% minimum or equivalent exam with English.

So with educational qualification as 10th pass you also have opportunities to select your carrer and serve in IAF.
