How long will it take to complete CA after B.Com?

I have completed my B.Com with 90%. I want to do CA now. How long will it take to do CA exactly including all courses, exams and articleship? And, will I get exemption from CPT as well?

After graduation, If you will qualify all exams on 1st attempt, then CA course will take 3 years. After completion of your B.Com as your graduation, you will get exemption from CPT exam.

CA Course Duration
- Minimum duration of CA course after class 12th (through CPT) is 4.5 years.
- Minimum duration of CA course after graduation is 3 years.

It takes minimum of 3 years to complete CA after Graduation in general and after B.com in particular way.

-- You are scoring more than 55%Mark's in B.com level, then you are eligible directly in CA IPCC level without appearing the CPT exam.

After CA IPCC,you have to complete your 2.5 year Articleship to eligible for Final Examination .

--Once you have passed both the group of CA Final examination, you are eligible for ICAI membership and then you are a Registered CA.

CA stands for Chartered Accountancy course. This course has three stages:

1. Common Proficiency test.

2. Integrated Professional Competence course.

3. Final course.

Candidates who have done bachelor's degree in commerce with minimum of 55% marks or non commerce stream with 60% marks or more can directly apply for IPCC stage. The duration after bachelor's degree for CA course is three years. If you fail in IPCC then this duration can increase.
