In IIT general category are allot 47.5 % of the total seats , where SC is given 27% and 15% to ST, 3% to PwD candidates.
Cut off marks of all IITs are different like in IIT Bhubaneswar open rank for Civil engineering was 5208 and closing rank was 7847 previous year.

The cut-off marks of the entrance exam changes every year, this is total base on some of the factors such as no of candidate appear and no of candidate scored. It also depends on the no of seats in all the respective colleges.
The admission after exams depends on the marks obtained by the candidate. If the score is high the candidate will get a good colleges, It fully depends on the rank of the candidate. As previous year a general candidate with rake of 5896 got seat in IIT college. So its totally depends on the marks scored by the candidate.

As per rules of present reservation system, following thing is present:

OBC reservation: 27%.

SC: 15%.

ST candidates: 7.5%.

Rest 50.5% seats are available for candidates belonging to general category. This is followed every year and will be followed next year unless it is abandoned by central government.

IIT refers to Indian Institute of Technology and same is one of the premier technical colleges of India for pursuing various technical degree courses.

Further for taking admission in IITs for pursuing different courses one has to qualify its respective entrance examinations such as JEE ( Joint Entrance Examination ) for admission in B.E./B.Tech degree course, GATE ( Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering ), etc. .

Now as far as you are concerned about the reservation of seats for open category candidates for admission in IITs then I would like to let you know that only 50.5% seats of total number of seats are available for open category candidates for admission in all the cases and rest 49.5% seats are reserved for reserved category candidates.

As you have not mentioned the course in which you want to take admission so its is not possible to say anything regarding the cutoffs of your concerned examination.

For details regarding JEE you can refer to the link www.jeemain.nic.in where as for details regarding GATE and JAM ( which is held for admission in M.Sc degree course ) you can refer to their respective official links.
