First of all i would like to appreciate your decision to prepare for the Civil services examinations. IPS stands for the Indian Police services.You will have to give the civil services examinations in order to join this services. In brief ,I would like to tell you about its eligibility criteria which are Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university .You should be between 21-30 years for the examinations with upper age relaxed for the OBC and sc/st respectively. General has four attempts and obc has seven and SC/ST has no limit that is they can attempt all examinations that fall within their age limits. You must be an Indian citizen. Now coming to your query that is How to prepare for the Civil services examinations? Friend ,you must join a good coaching institute for better preparation of Civil services examinations.Some of the best institutes are : 1.Rao's IAS academy 2.Chanakya's IAS academy 3.Vajiram and Ravi IAS academy 4.Khan study group and lots more. After that self study is very necessary for achieving success in this examinations .You must devote yourself for this examinations by at least self studying for ten hours a day. >>Proper revision of whatever you read and with full concentration.In simple words there is no alternative hard labour and it is the only key to success. IPS EXAM STANDS FOR INDIAN POLICE SERVICES. to join IPS exam, you must be graduate from a recognized university age limit is 21-30 years. you must be Indian citizen. IPS or Indian Police Services is a civil services exam conducted by UPSC commission or Union Public Service Commission of india. There are several other civil services exams are present like as : IAS IES IPS IFS To appear for these Civil services exam you must be eligible as : 1.you must be graduate from recognized & well reputed university with 55-60% marks. 2.You must be within 21-30 years of age. 3.You have 4 attempts,maximum if general and otherwise 7 attempts. 4.You must be physically fit and strong.
