NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. This is a qualifying test which every candidate needs to sit for if they wants to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate course in medical. CBSE conducts the NEET exam.

This is a kind of replacement for the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and all individual MBBS exams conducted by states. But there are some colleges like All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Armed Forces Medical College, Banaras Hindu University etc who have opted out of the exam and have decided to conduct their own entrance exam.

This year NEET exam which is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education was conducted in the month of May and the results came out in the month of June. Earlier there were around 25 medical entrance exams you could have given to pursue this course. Now with NEET around, you dont need to stress yourself so much.

Since to pursue medical therefore it is needless to say that you need to be a science student and secure at least 50% of marks in physics, chemistry and biology/biotechnology taken together. SC/ST candidates needs to get 45% of marks in aggregate.

It is important to pass in all the subjects separately and for this exam even final year students can also apply. They however, will be given provisional admission.

Age Criteria:-

1. Minimum Age Limit: 17 years
2. Age Relaxation: 5 years (For Reserved Category Candidates)

Questions will be mainly objective type where there will be options for every question and you have to choose the right one. 180 questions in total will be there. 45 Questions from each section has to be answered.

Questions will come from physics, chemistry, biology and zoology. The paper needs to be completed in 3 hours and for each wrong answer you give 1/4th marks will get deducted. Questions will be set in English and Hindi.
