Minimum age limit for appearing 10th exam under CBSE format?
My son date of birth is 25th May, 2008 and he is in 7th standard. At the time of 10th exam his age will be 13.10 years. So, he need 02 months for minimum eligibility. Is there is any problem for attain the examination held in the year 2022?

The first thing I would like to let you know is that the minimum age required to appear in CBSE Class 10th board examination is 14 years as on 1st October of that year in which candidate got admitted to his/her Class 10th.
So, being born on 25th May 2008, your son is under the normal age limit for appearing in the CBSE Class 10th board examination in March 2022. For more details and FAQs related to CBSE board examinations, you can refer to the link www.cbse.nic.in. |

There is no official notification by CBSE regarding the minimum age limit criteria to appear for 10th board examination.
The age criteria is decided by the Directorate of State Education to appear for the examination. So, visit the official website or the respective office to get detail information. |

To appear for 10th board examination there is no minimum age limit criteria declared by CBSE.
It is the sole responsibility of Directorate of State to decide the minimum age criteria. So, visit the office for more details. |

The minimum age limit to appear in the 10th board exam is 14 years as of 31st December of year of examination. However, there is no upper limit of age to appear in the exam. One who is less than 14 years is not eligible for 10th board exam. |

Minimum age required to appear in 10th board examination is 14 years. Maximum age should not exceed 16 years. |

The minimum age limit required to appear in 10th standard CBSE Board examinations is 15 years. Candidates who have pursued 10th standard and who have attained the minimum age of 15 years are eligible to apply for 10th standard board examinations. Incase, the candidate is deficient of the required age limit, then he/ she need to submit the Medical Certificate from a recognised doctor to be eligible to appear in 10th standard board examinations.

As per FAQ section of CBSE official website there is no minimum/maximum age limit prescribed by CBSE to appear in class 10 examination, however at the time of admission student should have satisfy the requirements of the age limits as determined by the state/UT government and applicable to the place where school is located.
Many states have 14 year age criteria if we consider that your son is just 2 months short and hence you can discuss with the concern authorities of school and grant permission from them. |
