Is it necessary to have Agriculture background in order to study Agricultural related courses?


Is it necessary to have Agriculture background? Means to get admission to agricultural colleges in India or Maharashtra is it necessary that the students or his parents needs to have some time or the other in their life have held or holding the agriculture land in their names and is it compulsory for them to submit the proof in this regard in the form of 7/12 extract held?

No, it is not necessary to have Agriculture background to pursue agriculture course.

The required qualification to pursue bachelor degree in agriculture course is that candidate must have passed 12th in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology.

So, it is not compulsory to have agriculture land under the possession to pursue the course.

It is not necessary for anyone to have agriculture background to pursue agriculture related course.

The eligibility criteria for Agriculture course:

1. You must have passed 12th with PCM or PCB subjects.

2. Minimum of 50% marks in board exam is required.

You can apply for ICAR AIEEA exam for admission in top agriculture colleges.

This is not true.

You do not need any agricultural background to pursue agriculture related course. The qualification required to pursue B.Sc in Agriculture course:

Senior secondary board examination passed with Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics or Biology from a recognized board.

Minimum of 50% marks in board exam of 12th.

No, it is not necessary to have agriculture background in order to study Agriculture related course at undergraduate or post graduate level. Any candidate who has done 12th from a recognized board with PCB/M subject group and secured minimum of 50% marks can apply for the examination.

Indian Council of Agricultural Research conducts All India Entrance Exam for admission in Bachelor of Agriculture. You can crack this exam with good rank to get admission in top agriculture colleges.

No, it is not mandatory to have agriculture background to get admission in agriculture related course.

The eligibility to get admission in B.Sc Agriculture is that candidate must have passed 12th in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology.

But for admission in master degree course it is mandatory that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in agriculture related course.

There is no requirement of agriculture land to pursue the course.

There is no such requirement in order to pursue Master of Science in Agriculture.

*In none of the exams for agriculture course, there is a criteria that candidate should from agriculture background to pursue B.Sc or M.Sc in agriculture course.

*You should do 12th from science stream with PCM or PCB to pursue B.Sc in Agriculture. No form needs to be submitted.

No, there is no such rule that candidate's parents should have agricultural farming land so that their ward can pursue higher education in agricultural field.

Even if the candidate doesn't have agricultural background, he/she can pursue higher education in agriculture field.

Some of the Diploma and Bachelor courses in Agriculture include:
  • Diploma in Agriculture
  • Diploma Courses in Agriculture and Allied Practices
  • Diploma in Food Processing
  • B.Sc. in Agriculture
  • B.Sc. (Honors) in Agriculture
  • B.Sc. in Crop Physiology

It is not necessary.

Candidates from all background are eligible to apply for Agricultural related course at bachelor's degree level or master's degree level.

You do not need to fill any application form like mentioned by you. If you have studied PCB subject or PCM then you can apply for Agriculture courses.

No, it is not compulsory to have agriculture related background to get admission in agriculture course.

So, if you are interested in the course then you can appear for the examination to get admission in the course.

Candidates passed 12th in PCM or PCB are eligible to appear in examination to get admission.
