NET eligibility, passing marks criteria along with syllabus and exam model test papers
I belong to Schedule Caste category. I want to qualify in NET exam. How many marks do I need to qualify in this exam? Please tell me in details the passing marks, exam syllabus, question paper and other relevant details.

To appear in the UGC NET, the minimum education required is a post-graduation degree in concerned discipline with at least 55% marks (or 50% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in aggregate from a recognized university.
As far as the passing marks is concerned, the minimum marks required to qualify the examination is 40% of the total marks in case of unreserved category and 35% of the maximum marks in case of reserved category candidates. Here, one thing I would like to mention is that passing marks need not be the qualifying marks as the cutoff for every subject changes every year depending on lots of other factors.
