Hi iam doing B.TECH Bioinformatics.I want to do M.TECH Bioinformatics can any one of u please give the detail information regarding PGECET entrance exam for M.TECH bioinformatics.what is the material to follow for that test please send plzzz

PGCET in an entrance conducted by karnataka for NON-GATE candidates to admission to M.tech programs offfered by University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering(UVCE), Bangalore - Bangalore University),
University BDT College of Engineering, Davangere,
Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Mathematics and Computer Science - Kuvempu
University, and Department of studies in Computer Science -University of Mysore.
PG Departments,Regional Centres & Extension Centres of VTU & institutions affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological university.

Forms for it will be available from mid of may 2010,and entrance will be conducted in the month of july,however notification for it are not announced yet.please keep visiting its official website- http://pgcet.vtu.ac.in/

you are supposed to apply online for IIIT PGEE at the website www.iiit.net. After that you will be sent a mail containing a link where candidates have to fill the details. The payment of the application fees can be done through credit card/demand draft.

PGECET (Post-Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test) is conducted by OU (Osmania University) on behalf of apshce (Andhra Pradesh state higher education council) for admission into M.E. / M,Tech./M.Pharm./M.Arch / M.Plg. (full time) in University and affiliated Engineering colleges in A.P. For PGECET 2010 JNTU The candidate should have passed or appearing their final year of B.E. / B.Tech/ B.Pharm / B.Arch.

The Applications are available at the following places and can be obtained by paying Rs. 500/- for others and Rs. 250/-(Rupees Two hundred and fifty only) for SC/ST. through D.D. drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of Secretary, APSCHE payable at Hyderabad on or before last date.

PGECET-2010 Eligibility:
for the Postgraduate programmes the candidate should have passed three year graduate degree with 55% marks.

Selection of the candidate is based on personal Interview and written test.

People thinks that it is all about biology,but they are wrong there is only 30% biology and rest is computer science.If you have interest in biologycal field then,you have decided good to go for M.tech in Bioinformatics,dont worry just go for it.

M.tech in Bioinformatics with specialisation in computational biology or drugs designing are considered best for it.

Hi friends,
I am Lokesh and I'm doing M.tech in Bioinformatics,PESIT 2nd year. There are only 2 colleges in bangalore which you can apply for. One is ours and the other is UVCE. You got to get ranking around 2000 or below to get a seat here in my college. I have got 2290 which helped me to get PESIT. All I did was learnt some R S Agarwal and my class notes to wirte PGCET. I think the exam is on 8th Aug. All the best guys.

Recently im finished B.Tech Biotechnology, my self interested to join in M.Tech biotechnology, please kindly suggest me the different courses in M.Tech biotechnology and realities colleges in Andhra pradesh. I got 320th rank in JNTUK M.Tech set.
