Can BIPC student become an IAS Officer? Which Degree course is best to become an IAS Officer? Which university is best? My aim is to become an IAS Officer. So, I want to know all the above details.

Civil Service examination is conducted by UPSC. It is conducted in three stages.

The eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. Age limit is 21-32 years. No limitation on discipline of bachelor degree.

So, after the bachelor degree course, you are eligible to appear in the examination.

Civil Service examination is conducted for selection as an I.A.S, I.P.S officers. Examination is conducted by UPSC.

The examination is considered as one of the toughest examination and to qualify in the examination, you will have to prepare for examination with dedication, devotion and determination.

To become IAS Officer, one has to clear Civil Services Exam that is conducted by UPSC.

For qualifying this exam, candidate has to clear three stages:

• Preliminary Exam
• Mains Exam
• Personal Interview

After clearing these stages, one will be appointed as IAS or IFS or IPS or IRS depending upon his rank secured.

Note that to be eligible for appearing this exam, one should have completed graduation in any stream irrespective of field. Also, it doesn't matter if a student is from Science, Arts or Commerce stream.

However, he/she should have completed 12th from a recognized Board in any stream.

Since, you are BiPC, so you can apply for this exam after completing graduation course. You can complete graduation in any field as per your interest like BHMS, MBBS, BDS, etc.

Equal weightage is given to all degree holders in any field.
