Hi,
My sister has completed her 12th in CBSE with Commerce stream in the year 2000 , due to some personal reasons(I'd like to leave the details just to that much) she could not continue her studies.

Since she has taken up Commerce can she apply for B.Pharmacy course?

Sorry, but it is not possible to do BParmacy for commerce stream students.

BPharma eligibility:
Students who have completed the 10+2 or equivalent examination, with physics, chemistry and biology / mathematics are eligible for Diploma in Pharmacy as also the Bachelor's degree programme (B.Pharm.)

Since she is from a commerce background she is not eligible for Pharmacy course. It is important that the should have studied the science subjects in 12th standard. The gap should not be a problem in pursuing higher studies.

no, i dont think that a commerce student of 12 th can apply for b.pharmacy because commerce and biology are 2 very different subjects.

generally,, science stream students(specially medical students) are elligible to apply for B.Pharmacy
but you still can get a chance
before b.pharma, you'll have to apply for 'D.pharma', which is some kind of basic diploma kind of course before b.pharma
but first your sis should be prepared as she may face some difficulties getting there and also during the course as she is from commerce side
so first she should apply for d.pharma

no its not possible because according indian pharmacy council min. Qualifications for b.pharm is 12th science bio/maths.

its because for b.pharma science(physic ,chemistry, and biology) is required in 12th...
why is she doing b.pharma....
she can go for b.com or CA/ICWA...

yes brother nothing to worry , it is possible what she only have to do that she only apply for MP PET with bio. the forms are available from feburary onwards.

can a commerce student can do b.tech in chemicals after 12th ??? please do tell it's really vry urgent

ya it is possible showing the class 10 marks bhut in b. pharmacy we study 3 yrs but she have to study 5 yrs

I have just given my 11th standard exams.I have a doubt whether biology is a must for doing pharmacy as I have taken maths and I would also like to know what to do after giving 12th exams if for doing pharmacy

Sorry, B.pharmacy is those for who have stream in 12th class,...That students which have Biology or Maths along with Physics and Chemistry are eligible for B.pharmacy...

No, for admission into B.PHARMACY course you need to have a pass with 50% in 12th /equivalent to state board with physics , chemistry, biology/mathematics.

no ,you cannot enter into B.PHARMACY course after doing your 12th class with commerce stream.For admission into pharmacy , you must be qualified in 12th class/equivalent to state board with physics,chemistry,biology/maths as your subjects.

no friend sorry but you cant switch to that one. it need +2 with science stream. but here i am giving you some information in which you can switch to.
There are immense opportunities available for commerce student.
You can do B.Com and appear for professional courses conducted by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Institute of Cost and Work Accountancy. After getting the professional degree you can get employment in Companies (Public & Private)

You can go in for LLB which again has abundant opportunity with Company Secretary.

You have to choose your interest field and take decision on that basis for example if you are interested in Finance go in for C.A. or C.W.A.
If interested in Law then you can go for LLB with C.S.
and Accounts
The subject matter of the course consists of Law, Taxation, Management

There are other opportunities also available apart from your subjects.

I am sorry to say that she is not eligible for B.Pharma...

For B.Pharma course she have to pass the 12th with physics, chemistry and biology..

She can do other course like:-
> B.Com
> B.B.A
> B.B.F
> B.B.F
etc

who said after 12th commerce you can take addmission in d.pharm.
