Postal Assistant Exam Details:-

~To sit for this exam you need to be a higher secondary passed out candidate or its equivalent from a recognized institution with not less than 60 percent of marks at 10+2 level.

~There is percentage relaxation for the reserved category candidates. SC/ST candidates needs to get 45% of marks and OBC candidates needs to secure 50% of marks in aggregate.

~For this exam it is important for you to know the local language of the State of the concerned postal circle. This will help you to communicate freely with the residents of that circle.

~It will also help if you have studied hindi at matriculation level or above. Since this is the official language of our country therefore you will get an edge over others.

~Mostly conceptual questions will be asked in the exam. Therefore you need to rack your brain and be very specific when attempting the questions. There will be four options for every question and you need to choose the correct one.

~The total time alloted for the paper is two hours and within this limited period of time you need to attempt 200 questions all in all. Better the marks, more will be your chances of getting selected.

~Apart from sitting for the written exam you may have to sit for a computer or typing test. This exam is also of vital importance and the time allotted for this exam is 30 minutes.

~The cost of the application fee is Rs. 200 for general category candidates and you can get the form from the head post offices or the other post offices in the circle.

Postal Assistant Exam recruits candidates for vast vacancneis in India. Even vacancies for Sorting assistants also filled every year.Below are the information about postal exam application process, recruitment process, eligibility requirements and how to apply.

Eligibility and education qualification includes: Age must be in between 18 to 27 years. Upper age limitation is given to SC/ST and OBC students. Qualification required is 12th standard with 60% and above. It has been relaxed to 50% for OBC and 45% for SC/ST candidates.

Candidates who are looking forward for it also looking for syllabus and pattern, so here's the pattern basically it consists of four sections which consists of General Knowledge, Mathematics, English and Reasoning & Analytical Ability

Number of questions will be 100 for which you have to answer them in 120 minutes. These are all MCQ's type of question. Note: There is no negative marking in it.

Now you will be wondering how to apply for it: HPO i.e Head post offices and Identified postal offices in your circle will be authorized to sell application form for PAR which will cost you around 50. Postal examination fees will be 200 rupees. After paying it you have to obtain the receipt. The dully application for to be submitted along with UCR/ACG-67 receipt before the dead line or last date

This year i.e 2012 Advertisement date was 11th of August. Last date of sale of its application was 25th of September. Last date of receipt of completed form was 1st of October.
