VAO Exam Details:-

• To give this exam you need to have a secondary school leaving certificate. In other words you need to be a 10th pass out because that is the minimum qualification required for this post.
  
• While applying for this exam your age should not be less than 21 years because that is the minimum age limit for giving this exam. For general category candidates the upper age limit is 30 years.
  
• There is age relaxation for the reserved category candidates. The upper age limit for them is 40 years.
  
• If you get selected then you will be posted in the villages of Tamilnadu therefore it is very important for you to know Tamil properly so that you can communicate freely with the villages over there.
  
• Even if you do not know the language properly then also you can give this exam. But on getting selected you have to sit for the Tamil language exam and pass in it within two years from the date of selection.
  
• Selectors expects that only physically fit candidates will sit for the exam. So to prove your medical fitness you need to produce in front of them medical certificates during exam time.
  
• Selection Procedure is primarily based on the Written Examination. So your target should be to get as many marks as possible in the exam. Other factors which are also considered are the district chosen by you and the number of reservations of the district in question.
  
• For the exam you need to stress on the following sections:- General Knowledge and General Tamil/General English. The first paper is bilingual and the second paper is optional.
  
• Questions for the exam will be of S.S.L.C. standard and you will get only three hours to complete the whole paper and within this short span of time you need to answer 200 questions.
  
• Cost of the application form for the general category candidates is Rs. 125 and for reserved category candidates it is Rs. 50.
  
• VAO Exam Date 2012: 30.09.2012 (10AM-1PM)

If you have 12th standard OR graduation degree then you are applicable for VAO exam but you age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide as per govt rule But you must know the Tamil language.

Syllabus for VAO Exam:-

This exam will be for 200questions, time will be available for 03 and maximum marks is 300.

TNPSC VAO is the popular examination in India. TNPSC organized this examination every year.

Selection procedure for VAO posts in Tamil Nadu will consist of written examination with objective type multiple choice questions. There will be a single question paper for VAO Exam. The VAO Exam question paper will have questions from General Knowledge of SSLC standard (100 questions) and General Tamil or General English (SSLC Standard) with 100 questions.
