CDS Stands for Combined Defence Service examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Examination .

-->> Minimum Education Qualification is holding the three year graduate degree or bachelor's of engineering degree from a recognized University .

-->> Candidates who are appearing in the final year of degree course may also eligible to apply for this examination .

-->> This exam is conducted twice in a year by UPSC and recruitment of military Academy , Naval Academy , Air force , Officer Training Academy .

CDS Exam Details:-

=> CDSE stands for Combined Defence Services Examination. Union Public Service Commission conducts the CDSE Examination. By giving this exam you will get the chance of entering any one of the following academy: Indian Military Academy, Air Force Academy, Naval Academy and Officer's Training Academy.

=> To join Indian Military Academy you need to be a graduate in any disicpline from a recognized university. Your age should be between 19 and 24 years.

=> To join Air Force Academy you need to have a bachelor's degree in science with physics or mathematics or you can do B.E./B.Tech in engineering or technology and your age should be between 19 and 23 years.

=> To join naval academy you need to complete your graduation in engineering or technology or you can do B.Sc degree with physics or mathematics. Your age should be between 19 and 23 years.

=> To join Officer's Training Academy you need to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. Your age should be between 19 and 25 years.

=> Following are the stages or hurdles you have to cross to finally get selected:

• Written Examination
• Intelligence Test/Personality Test
• Physical Test by SSB

=> The written examination is followed by the intelligence test or personality test where you will be made to do lots of activities like group discussion, group planning and other outdoor activities. You may also be asked to say something on a topic chosen by them. Very confidently you have to do all of these.
