Please let me know steps to proceed after passing LLB for registration in Bar Council as I want to do practice.

Legal education is the education of individuals who intend to become legal professionals or those who simply intend to use their law degree to some end, either related to law (such as politics or academic) or business.

It includes:
First degrees in law, which may be studied at either undergraduate or graduate level depending on the country.


Vocational courses which prospective lawyers are required to pass in some countries before they may enter practice.
Higher academic degrees.

I want to know about registration in bar council of u.p. for practise.

i am student of LL.B 3 year course 2009-2012 session i want to know that when i have to apply for bar council registration

I passed LL.B IIIrd year in first division in 1986 and now I wish to practice after retiring fom my Government job.
Have I to pass any exam to obtain licence for practiceor to become member of bar council.
In case exam has to be passed what is the schedule and contents.

I have passed LLB 3yrs in june 2011 at bangalore. Basically i am from Tamil nadu.

hello friend,

The Bar Council of India, which governs standards of legal education in India introduced a 20 years age limit for the five-year LLB course and a 30 years age bar for the three-year LLB course from this year.

i don't have idea about this, if this age bar is given than it should not be there

I think we should collectively look into the matter because education in any field is on the interest of individual. There should be no age bars..

this what the though of mine...
