A candidate can apply for the Indian Air force as a pilot after 10+2 through National defence academy examination and after the graduation through Air force common admission test. The eligibility required for both of the entry scheme is described below:


National defence academy examination
The NDA examination is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. To apply for this examination a candidate should be 10+2 pass and should have physics and maths at 10+2 if he is applying for the Indian Air force and Navy.
Those appeared in the 10+2 examination are also eligible for this examination.

Age Limit
Candidate age should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

Air force common admission test
The AFCAT examination is conducted by the Indian Air force twice in a year.
To apply for this examination a candidate should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university.
Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to apply for this examination. This examination is conducted for the selection of candidate as an officer in Indian Air force in various branches such as FLYING BRANCH, TECHNICAL BRANCH and Ground duty branch.

Age Limit

FLYING BRANCH
19-23 years

TECHNICAL BRANCH
18-28 years

GROUND DUTY BRANCH
29-23 years

To join in Indian Air force after +2 the best way is to clear an exam conducted by UPSC. The exam is named as NDA expanded as National Defense Academy exam.

ELIGIBILITY for appearing in NDA exam is

Your age must be above 16.5years and below 19years. You must have passed your 12th std with science as your stream with physics and maths as your major subjects.

Thus your stepping stone is to appear in NDA exam. And before that you must know that you must have have chosen science as your stream to join in Navy or Air force. If not you can join in Indian Army through the same exam.

dear friend,
To join in air force as pilot you have to appear in AFCAT exam.

Eligibility for AFCAT exam:-
For Flying branch:-

1.Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade , but must have had maths and physics in 12th...

2.Age should be in between 19-23 years.

3.Candidate must be a citizen of India.

4.candidate must be unmarried male.

5.Candidate should be physically fit.

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill.
So, go for it..

You can go for Fighter pilot, or a Helicopter pilot, or a Transport pilot in the Flying branch.


Eligibility Criteria IAF Pilot:-


1) Age:- 19 to 23 years

2) Marital Status :- Single

3) Nationality :- Indian

4) Gender :- This is applicable to both men and women.

5) Educational Qualifications :- Must be a graduate in any stream with Physics and Mathematics in 10+2.


Entry Procedure :-

There are the three modes of entry for graduates to join the Flying Branch :-

1) Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE)

2) National Cadet Corps(NCC)

3) Women (Short Service Commission)

Application Procedure :-

1) For CDSE forms are released at April/November.

2) For NCC forms are released at June/December.

You are applicable for Fighter pilot through NDA exam .You have now completed your 12th standard.If your 12th standard subject is Maths and Physics then you are applicable.

Yes After 12th standard you are eligible for NDA exam .But you have to fulfill the below criteria.

Educational Qualification:

(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at the Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

Age:

Age should be between 16.5 to 19 years .

Date of commencement of notification : 31-12-2011
Last date to receive completed application forms : 30-01-2012

Hi,

To become pilot in Indian Air Force so you need to do NDA exam.

NDA stands for National Defense Academy.

Eligibility Criteria :

Age between
16 ½ to 19 yrs as of first day of the month in which course is due to commence

12th Class of 10+2 System of Education/Equivalent for Army and with Physics and Maths for AF/Navy

m nw studng btech at gita....dis my 2nd yr...i wnt 2 become transport pilot...suggest soluton...whn i shuld give the exam...wht the height limit 4r it...m a girl..my age is 19...wht d money required 4r studng 4r dis....

.I have finished my 'b' certificate in ncc(1 kar air squ ncc).Now i'm going to finish my 2nd pu in bangalore,from science stream(PCMB).I request u to help me.

Graduation in b.com then can i apply for flying branch .
I complete my 12th in science stream with physics and maths.
