Re: sbi question papers
Quote:
~For the recruitment of 7740 clerical staff, State Bank of India has decided to conduct an exam for which it asked the interested candidates to register their names within 13th of August, 2012. ~To sit for this exam you need to satisfy certain eligibility criteria. Some of them have been listed below: ~To apply for this exam you need to pass the higher secondary examination with not less than 60 percent of marks. For the reserved category candidates the percentage to secure is 55 percent of marks. ~If you are a bachelor's degree holder in any discipline then also you can apply. Then you just need to manage the pass marks somehow since the minimum percentage of marks to attain have not been mentioned. ~If you have not given your class 12 exam but did a diploma after class 10 from a recognized institution then also you will be considered eligible for the exam. The duration of the course should not be less than two years and it should not be done in correspondence. ~The minimum age limit for this exam irrespective of what your category is 18. The maximum age limit for the general category is 28 years. ~There is age relaxation for the reserved categories. There is an upper age limit relaxation of upto 5 years for the SC/ST candidates, 3 years for the OBC candidates and 10 years for the persons with disabilities. ~The ability to speak and write in English is also of vital importance. Apart from this if you have the ability to speak in the local language then you will certainly have an edge over others. ~By merely applying for the exam does not means you will get selected because the selection procedure is based on a written examination which is followed by a personal interview session. ~Generally for the written examination objective questions will be asked from the following sections: General Awareness; General English; Quantitative Aptitude; Reasoning Ability; Marketing Aptitude/Computer Knowledge. ~There is a percentage of marks which you need to manage somehow otherwise you will be disqualified. For the reserved categories there is a relaxation of 5 percent in the minimum marks to achieve. For every wrong answer 1/4th marks will be deducted from the original score. So do not rely too much on wild guess. ~Even if you qualify for the written examination whether you will be finally called for the interview session or not depends on the number of vacancies available. For each vacancy a maximum of three people will be called. ~If you get selected then you will be on a probation period for a maximum of 6 months. After that time period your performance level will be evaluated. If you fail to meet with the expectations then your probation period might get extended. ~Cost of the application fee for the general and OBC category candidates is 350 rupees and for the other reserved categories it is 50 rupees. Fees are non refundable. ~The last date for registering for this exam online and for paying the fees online is already over. Please Note: Last Date for Paying Fees (Off-line) 17th August, 2012 Exam Dates: 7th October, 2012 and 14th October, 2012 For the previous year question papers and model question papers please refer to the files attached.
