similarity between hormone secreting cells and nervous system..please tell me what is it

there i almost no similarity between hrmone secreting cells and the nervous system. the hormone secreting cells are located in the endocrine glands like(adrenal gland, pancreas) and are responsible for the secretion of hormones which are responsible for chemical changes in the body.
the nervous system is made of the brain and spinal cord. the brain along with spinal cord is responsible for the coordination of the body and the brain is also responsible for thoughts, memories and variou other activities which is responsible for the survival of human beings.
