the syllabus is same as the gate exam ,

well dear syllabus is not more than what u read in your b.tech syllabus...it is as same as of gate syllabus

Syllabus for VIT m.tech entrance is as same as of GATE,it has also seen that the candidates who are able to crack GATE also crack VIT entrance for m.tech.

It is more or less same,slight differnce is of pattern that does'nt matters.

the syllabus of VIT entrance exams for M.tech are availiable in
the official site of this exams. or the syllabus are also availiable
in the application broucher.

The question paper will contain 4 parts as indicated below-

PART-I - Physics
PART-II - Chemistry
PART-III - Mathematics
PART-IV - Biology

All Questions will be of OBJECTIVE TYPE.

All the questions will be from the State Board of Higher Secondary school and CBSE syllabi only. Each PART will have 40 questions. Each question will carry ONE mark.

Each question will be followed by 4 alternative answers. The candidate
has to choose and mark against the correct answer as per the instructions
given on the top of the question paper.

NO negative marks for wrong answers.

the common maths syllabus is as follows:

Probability: Conditional Probability; Mean, Median, Mode and Standard Deviation; Random Variables; Distributions; uniform, normal, exponential, Poisson, Binomial.
Set Theory & Algebra: Sets; Relations; Functions; Groups; Partial Orders; Lattice; Boolean Algebra.
Combinatorics: Permutations; Combinations; Counting; Summation; generating functions; recurrence relations; asymptotics.
Graph Theory: Connectivity; spanning trees; Cut vertices & edges; covering; matching; independent sets; Colouring; Planarity; Isomorphism.
Linear Algebra: Algebra of matrices, determinants, systems of linear equations, Eigen values and Eigen vectors.
Numerical Methods: LU decomposition for systems of linear equations; numerical solutions of non-linear algebraic equations by Secant, Bisection and Newton-Raphson Methods; Numerical integration by trapezoidal and Simpson’s rules.
