Is there any exemption from CA papers for MBA qualified candidates?

Hi, I have completed my B.Com with 45% marks and MBA with 60% marks. So, now am I eligible for direct admission in Chartered Accountancy CA's IPCC stage? Can I apply on the basis of MBA? Will I get exemption from any paper of IPCC on the basis of MBA?

As per rules of ICAI, candidates who have done bachelor's degree or master's degree in commerce or non commerce stream need to score minimum of 55% marks and 60% marks respectively for direct IPCC stage.

Your marks in MBA can make you eligible for IPCC with exemption of CPT stage. But apart from that there will be no exemption.

A candidate will complete CA course in the following 3 phases.
-CPT Exam
-IPCC
-CA Final

Being a candidate from MBA course, you will be given exemption only for CPT Exam.

Remaining everything is same as for other candidates.

You will not be given exemption for any of the papers in IPCC.

I would suggest you to look for the job opportunities as it will take 4 years to complete CA course.

Continue CA course along with your job.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
