IPS stands for Indian Police service.IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .

Those candidate have completed graduation degree from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.

Your age should be in between 21-30 years for general candidate.Age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.Also you must be citizen of India.

Yes , In CSAT Exam there is negative marking.There is negative marking 1/3 of marks allotted for each wrong answer.If you give 3 wrong answer, then your one correct answer's marks will be deducted.So be careful about examination. Give correct answer avoid guesses.

Yes, there is negative marking in IPS examination.

you will give three wrong answers, then the marks of your one right answer will be deducted.

The eligibility criteria required for IPS examination are prescribed as below:-


* Completion of graduation in any discipline from any recognised college or university.

* Age limit- 21-30 yrs.

* Age relaxation- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contendors.

* No. of attempts- 5 for General, 7 for OBC and no limits for SC/ST contendors.

* Nationality- Indian.

A candidate must have completed their graduation Degree in any Descipline with atlest 55% from recognized universities.

Final year students are also applicable.

Age Limit:

  • General category student:- 21-30 years.
  • OBC relaxation in upper age +3 years.
  • SC/ST relaxation in upper age +5 years.

Attempt Limit:

  • General - max. 4
  • OBC - max. 7.
  • SC/ST - No limit.

Exam Pattern:

  1. Preliminary Exam.

Yes, There is Nagative Marking System for IPS Exam, There will be 1 marks deducted for every 3 wrong anser's, That means 1/3 marks deducted for every 1 Wrong answer, Be Careful about it......

## YES, there is negative marking of 1/3 rd mark for each wrong answer in IPS(Indian Police Services) examination
## The minimum educational qualification required to apply for IPS EXAMINATION(civil services exam) is graduation in any discipline from recognised institution/university

Yes,There is Negative Marking System in IPS Exam.There will be 1 mark deducted for every 3 wrong answers.That means 1/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

The IPS exam will be conducted by the UPSC every year and the candidates who had completed their graduation from a recognised university can apply for the IPS exam and the eligibility criteria is as follows :-

**Age Limit :-

The age Limit to apply for the Ias exam is 21 to 30 years.

There is an age relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates and the age relaxation for SC/ST candidates is of 5 years.

**Nationality :-

You must be a citizen of India.

**Educational Qualification :-

You must have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognised university to be eligible to appear for the IPS exam.

**No of Attempts :-
General-4
OBC-7
SC/ST-Unlimited
