I heard that Neet is of two types, one is which includes only PCB & another is which includes PCMB.Is that true? If NEET includes only PCB then is it not useful for the students who are aiming for engineering to appear for NEET? Awaiting for your response.

This is not true. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is a competitive exam conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education for admission in MBBS and BDS course.

Eligibility criteria for NEET examination:

Academic qualification: Candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

You should have at least 50% marks in 10+2.

Candidates without Biology can not apply for NEET exam for MBBS and BDS course.

According to the eligibility criteria only those candidates are eligible to appear in NEET exam who have completed their 12th standard with PCB from a recognised board with minimum 50% marks. Students who have studied mathematics in their 12th standard are not eligible to appear in this entrance exam because this is a medical entrance exam.

NEET refers to National Eligibility Entrance Test and same is a national level medical entrance examination held for offering admission in MBBS or BDS degree course in any medical college across India except from AIIMS.

Further the minimum educational qualification required for appearing in NEET is a higher secondary school degree with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects with at least 50% ( or 40% for reserved category candidates ) from a recognized board of education.

Let me tell you that NEET is a medical entrance exam which is conducted for medical students who want to pursue either MBBS or BDS course but maths is a subject of NEET entrance exam. So non medical students are not eligible for this.
