VAO stands for Village Administrative Officer

VAO Exam Educational Qualification:-

You need to have an SSLC certificate to sit for this exam which means that you need to be a 10th pass out to be considered eligible. You can also have higher qualifications but it is important to show the SSLC certificate even after that. If you dont have this certificate then you wont be allowed to sit for the exam.

Age Criteria:-

Minimum Age Limit:- 21 years
Maximum Age Limit:- 30 years

Age Relaxation:-

For SC/ SC (Arunthathiyars),STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCM and Destitute Widows of all castes the upper age limit is 40 years.

Proficiency in Tamil:-

Tamil language is spoken in Tamilnadu and if you want to get recruited over there it is important for you to be well versed in Tamil. But if you dont know Tamil even then you will be allowed to sit for the exam and if you get selected then you have to sit for a Tamil language exam which is also conducted by TNPSC.

How to apply?

You can get the application form from the Post Offices by paying Rs. 30 and in addition to that you also have to pay the exam fee which is Rs. 75. You can also get the application form online from the official website of TNPSC.
