what is the age limit for ohter backwards classes for appearing upsc or mpsc exam?

For eligibility part, aspirant’s age limit should be between 19 to 40 years. Relaxation is also given for SC/ST candidates of 2 years as per the government norms. Also candidate should be Indian also. UPSC comprises of three sections Preliminary Examination which covers objective type questions, Mains which is subjective type questions and personal interview questions. The candidate must possess a graduation degree in Mathematics, statistics, Geology, natural science, civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, economics, Chemical Engineering.

Sir, Please tell me that whether IAS Exam is Subjective or Objective or Both?

Age limit for UPSC exam:

For General category,

Age limit is 21-30 years.

3 years age relaxation for OBC category

5 years age relaxation for SC/ST category

Age limit for MPSC exam:


For general candidate minimum 21 to 33 years.

For OBC candidate 21 to 35

For SC/ST candidate 21 to 38
