Sir, my Son's date of birth is 05th March , 2008. Is he eligible to write the SSLC exam to be held in March, 2023?

The minimum age limit should be 14+ to 15 years of age as of 31st March of the respective year to write the SSLC exam in 2023.

As per the guidelines of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the minimum age for participation in the 10th board examination is 14 years as of 31st December of the examination year. However, there is no upper age limit for participating in the exam.

Your son is eligible to write SLCC exam .
As per the guidelines of CBSE the minimum age to appear in 10th board exam is 14 years .
And your son fall in the age group of 14 to 16 years.
Thus he is eligible for boards exam.

The minimum age required for the candidate to appear in SSLC examination is 14years as on Ist of the January of the year of examination.

So on the basis of this criteria, you can appear for SSLC examination in 2023 to be held in March.

First thing I would like to let you know that there is no strict rule of minimum age required for appearing in SSLC i.e; Class 10th board examination under any board of education. But, in general a candidate is required to be at least 14 years old to be eligible for appearing in the SSLC examination which your son is certainly satisfying being born on 05 March ,2008 and going to appear in the board examination in March 2023.
