CSIR NET is conducted by UGC twice a year in the month of June and December. Result of CSIR NET is declared in the month of March and September for the December and June session exams respectively.

CSIR NET Eligibility
- You must have passed M.Sc or Equivalent degree/Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 Years/B.E./B.Tech/B.Pharm/MBBS with at least 55% from a recognized university. Ph.D holders will get relaxation of 5%.
- Age Limit : No limits for Lecturership and 28 Years for JRF. Relaxation applicable of 5 years to OBC/SC/ST categories.

CSIR NET is held for the sections of
- Chemical Science
- Life Science
- Mathematical Science
- Physical Science
- Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean, Planetary Science

Steps to Apply For CSIR NET
- Visit site : www.ugconline.in
- Register online yourself by entering basic details such as Your Name, Address, DOB, Email ID and Mobile Number etc.
- Read all instructions carefully before applying.
- Fill the required details in application form.
- Upload scanned documents in specific size and format.
- Pay the application fee online.
- Submit your application.

CSIR NET Exam Pattern
- Total Marks : 200
- Exam Duration : 3 Hours

Part A
Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Analytical and Numerical Ability, Graphical Analysis

Part B
It comprises of MCQs related to subject.

Part C
It comprises of questions from candidate's knowledge of scientific concepts.

CSIR NET Important Dates
- Apply Online From : 8th February, 2017
- Last Date of Application : 7th March, 2017
- Downloading Hall Tickets : 1st Week of June, 2017
- CSIR NET Exam : June, 2017
- CSIR NET Result : September, 2017
