What is difference between MBA and PGDM?

Hi, I am confused about MBA and PGDM. Some says it is same only. Can anybody please explain the difference between these two? Which has more scope and value? Which one is a proper university degree?

Default Re: What is difference between MBA and PGDM?

MBA stands for Master in Business Administration while PGDM stands for Post Graduate Diploma in Management.

MBA is offered by colleges which are affiliated to universities. So, universities can only offer MBA programmes. On the other hand, institutes/colleges that are recognized by AICTE and not affiliated by any university offer PGDM course.

There is slight differences in curriculum of PGDM and MBA. MBA graduates would be studying more theoretical concepts of Management while PGDM students would be focusing more on soft skills, industry-oriented skills.

Both the degrees are valuable enough to pursue. There is a good scope in both of them.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
