What is the differences between B.Sc Information Technology, B.Sc Computer Science and BCA?


Hi, can anybody please outline the differences between B.Sc Computer Science, B.Sc Information Technology and BCA? Which one is easier and has more scope and got good job opportunities in India?

B.Sc (Computer Science), B.Sc (Information Technology) and BCA are similar courses, but they all are quite different at some degree.

B.Sc (Computer Science)
It focuses more on mathematics and fundamentals of computer where latest technologies are more important topics.

Job Profile
- Software Engineer
- Software Developer
- Program Analyst
- DTP Operator

B.Sc (Information Technology)
It focuses on installing, organizing and maintaining computer system as well as designing and operating networks and databases.

Job Profile
- IT Specialist
- Software Developer
- Technical Consultant
- Quality Analyst

BCA
It focuses on basic knowledge of various aspects of computer applications and working of IT industry.

Job Profiles
- Programmer
- System Analyst
- Network Designer
- System Manager
