For admission into M.Tech. from IITs and NITs you have to qualify GATE.

GATE is Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering which is conducted by IITs for admission into M.Tech. course.

If you have completed B.Tech. with 60% marks then you can apply for GATE and if you qualify GATE with a good score then you will be eligible for admission into IIT or NIT after counselling.

You will also get stipend during your Post Graduation if you qualify GATE. The stipend will be given on per month basis for the duration of 2 years of post graduation.

Hence get yourself prepared for GATE if you want to do M.Tech from one of the top Engineering colleges in India.

There is no other way of admission into M.Tech. The seats in IIT and NITs are taken away by GATE top rankers so you have to get a top score in it.

Hai friend,
Different IITs and NITs follow different criteria for MTech but GATE rank is primary thing to be kept in mind.Some IITs take personal test and personal interview for joining. If you are curious enough to know about all issues regarding different iits then go to correponding webside address.

you better go for GATE.

I was done my engineering with second class and final year with is 1st class .Can i still apply for IIT,NIT for m.tech after gate?

I Was 4 ATKT in my engineering but i passed with first class ..can i apply for NIT or IIT?

i was a second class btec student,if i have good score in GATE can i get m tec in IIT?

sir i m a ee student with a gate score 478....can i join environmental engineering as my mtech...in nit...cuttoff is low for environmental engg.....does it has any future prospect??????/
