Engineering involves design,computation and manufacture of systems that helps to reduce the work burden of human beings. So an engineer must be skillful enough to do all these three things. First of all a thorough basic knowledge about the field of study is required. Rather than being a bookworm you must be able to corelate the techniques with the real world systems. Practical knowledge is the key factor that plays a main role in the job market. You can enhance your skills by doing courses such as CAD,MATLAB,.NET,VB,EMBEDDED SYSTEMS,LABVIEW,etc. These courses may gain you additional preference in the job market. Have a clear cut idea of concepts.
