The minimum education required to appear in the Civil Services examination (often called as IAS or IPS entrance examination) is a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

Further, as far as you are concerned about the minimum percentage of marks required in graduation degree course to be eligible for appearing in the Civil Services examination then there is no such criteria and therefore any graduation degree passed candidate is eligible for appearing in the same examination.

For more detailed information regarding the Civil Services examination, you can refer to the link www.upsc.gov.in.

There is no certain percentage requirement to be eligible for UPSC Civil Services exam.

However, you must have qualified Civil Services Exam with no active backlogs to be eligible for UPSC Civil Services Exam.

You can apply for IAS when you are in final year of your Graduation course. Even after completing graduation course, you can apply for exam.

You can start your preparation for IAS from 1st or 2nd year of graduation course.

No specific percentage criteria in graduation is required to apply for IAS examination. Candidates who have passed Bachelor’s degree course in any discipline from a government recognised college/ university are eligible to apply for IAS examination. You should be in the age range of 21 to 32 years to be eligible to apply for IAS examination. Upper age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per government rules to apply for IAS examination.
