The eligibility to appear for GPSC examination for selection as an officer in the state service is that :-

Candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university.

Candidate's age must be between 21-28 years with relaxation in upper limit for reserved category.

So, you will have to pursue the bachelor degree to become eligible to appear for examination.

GPSC examination is conducted for recruitment of officer in the Gujarat service.

Candidates after qualifying in all stages of examination will become eligible for recruitment.

The eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. The age limit is 21-28 years with relaxation for reserved category.

So, you are not eligible to appear in examination with higher qualification as diploma only.

--> The minimum qualifications required to apply for Gujarat Public Service Commission examination are as below :-

* You must be an Indian citizen.

* Your age must lie in between 21 years to 28 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per the government norms.

* You must have completed your graduation degree course in any discipline from a recognised university.

So, having completed your Diploma in Petrochemical technology degree course, you are not eligible to apply for Gujarat PSC unless you opt for a graduation degree course.

For Public Service Commission examination conducted by Gujarat PSC the required minimum educational qualification is bachelor degree.

So, only candidates with bachelor degree or higher qualification are eligible to appear in examination.

Diploma holders are not eligible to appear for the examination.

So, once you will complete the bachelor degree you will become eligible to appear for the examination.
