and minimum marks to be scored in each subject......

CPT exams or Common Profiency tests are held in June and December each year

Next CPT exams would be held in December 2013
Forms for this exam would be filled in October 2013

Candidates who have appeared in class 12th exam or have passed class 12th exam can apply

In the CPT exams questions are asked from the below sections:
Fundamentals of accounting
Mercantile LAWS
General Economics
Quantitative Aptitude

All the questions are asked in objective mode only
Candidates scoring minimum 50% marks are declared as pass
Minimum 30% marks needs to be scored in each subject
There are negative markings of .25 for each incorrect answer.

CPT exams fees-Rs 1000

Fees for CPT Registration is:
Application Form-Rs 100
CPT registration fees-Rs 6000
Total Rs 6100

hello friend

cpt stands for common proficiency test

its exam is conducted in months of june and december every year

the present passing criteria is to get minimum 30 % in individual paper and 50 % over all , which means


accounts- 60 marks

you have to score minimum 18 out of 60

mercantile law- 40 marks
required minimum 12 out of 40 marks

general economics - 50 marks
required minimum - 15 out of 50

quantitive aptitude - 50 marks
requires minimum 15 out of 50

and total 100 from 200 i.e 50 %

if any candidates gets 30% marks in cpt then he clears cpt or not

if v get account 18 out of 60
law 12 out of 40
economi 15 out of 15
maths 15 out of 50
then we r getting 60 marks then how can we clear our cpt plz reply ............

for accounting technician course can a student take articleship in ca firm after passing ca cpt examination? or he have to first of all clear group 1 of ca ipcc and then take articleship for one year in a ca firm, please clarify.

i want to ask that in section one i.e accountancy and law we have to cross 50 % in this also ......
