I just started my M.Com in a college affiliated to Madras University. I wanted to know about the passing percentage in each subject of 1st year in order to pass my 1st year and promoted to 2nd year.

As per the CBCS curriculum which came into effect from 2019 in University of Madras, For external (end semester) examination, minimum passing in each subject of any UG and PG courses (including M.Com degree course) is 40% [Forty Percentage] of the maximum marks prescribed for the paper for each Paper/Practical/Project and Viva-Voce.

--> There is no minimum passing marks criteria for the internal assessment but candidates are required to secure 40% marks of the total maximum marks prescribed for the paper in aggregate (including internal and end semester marks).
