IPS stands for Indian Police service.

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC.There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .Civil Service exam conduct for recruiting the candidate of IAS , IPS ,IRS persons.

Educational Qualification :-

Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognized university , the final year students also eligible for applying preliminary examination

Age criteria :-

General category student candidate 21-30 years.
OBC relaxation in upper age 3 years.
SC/ST relaxation in upper age 5 years.

Attempt Limit:-

General Candidate can maximum 4 Times
OBC Candidate can Maximum 7 Times
SC/ST there is no attempt Limit

IPS - Indian Police Service, to become an IPS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

There is no specific qualification for Commerce stream student to join IPS, only a pass in Graduation Degree is sufficient to join IPS.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian national having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness.

If you want to join IPS then you have completed your graduation Degree in commerce background from from recognise universities after you can apply for IPS exam.......

Final year student also apply for this exam..

Age limit:- General category student:- 21-30 years , OBC relaxation in upper age +3 years , SC/ST relaxation in upper age +5 years......

Yes Commerce student can join as IPS Officer but you have to crack Civil Services Examination for becoming IPS officer.

Qualifications for IPS Examination:

-Graduation in any stream from a recognised University.

-Indian Citizen are only eligible to apply.

Age Criteria:

The age criteria will be different for different categories:

General Category- 21 to 30 years

OBC Category - 21 to 33 years

The qualification is not differant for a commerce candidate and for a science candidate it is same for both the candidates. A candidate who wants to appear IPS exam should be pass graduation in any discipline.
IPS exam is conducted by the UPSC one time in one year.


Educational qualification:-

The candidate should be complete graduation or any equivalent bachelor's degree from a recognised university of India.

No need of percentage restrictions to appear this exam.


Gender:-

Both male and female are eligible.

Nationality:-

Candidate should be a citizen of india
