i m in 10th class.nd i want to prepare for iit exams.Is it now compulsoray for a student to get 80% above in 10+2 in order to appear in iit exams?hope its not so..becoz students of I.C.S.E boards can get but what about other boards students??
also what are the basic requirements for cracking iit exams??
plz answer my question soon...

no there is no need to get 80% as of now,60% is enough to write iit,

No it is not required to score 80% in 12 for appearing in IIT-JEE till now.
The current requirement for it is you must hav escored atleast 60% aggregate in 12,but it is expected till you complete your class 12 the eligibility criteria will be increased.However,it is just expectations leave it.

First of all concentrate on your class 10 score well in it,because if you does'nt score well in it you wont get science in 11.

As soon as you take admission to 11 it is advice to join a good coaching institute like-FIITJEE,Career point,brilliant tutorials etc.And prepare well for it.

If you are interested in prepareing for it just from now,then join 3 years long class room programe which is offered by above mentioned institutes.They will not only prepare you for future IIT-JEE ,but for all entrances including your board exams.

They will also provide you best study materials.

till now its 60%...for the years ahead...nuthing to telll..but for iit hardwork is required...your basics for 11th and 12th class must be clear...studies for atleast 8 hours is required ...take admissions in good iit institutes like bansal classes in rajasthan or fitjee or aakash institute..

no its not at all necessary to score above 80%,you just need to be >60% to appear for iit-jee exam.and dont worry about your marks in +2 because it does not affect your iit-jee score,just concentrate on fundamentals and go to good coaching institute or subscribe books for iit-jee.

see iit is not a joke,also not very difficult required is just to understand and learning. whether you solve as many ques as u can your fundamentals should should b very strong coz ques are not very tough but just twisted. for eg like in rxns we perform with simple compounds but in iits they give more complicated compounds.
so, my friend dont take much tension and chill.
but see this is true that u have to get above 80% in ur 12 board

To be eligible for admission through IIT JEE a you should have passed class 12th or equivalent with atleast 60% marks in aggregate

no dear for IIT -JEE u must have 60% marks in 10+2.....only BITSAT engineering entrance exam requires 80% and above marks...so prepare for it and do very hard work..

it is not necessary to score more than 80% in your 12th class,because the basic eligibility criteria for giving IIT-JEE is to score only >60% in 12th.

but if you can manage >80% then it will be a plus point for you since you will also be eligible for BITSAT.

and for preparation i will suggest you to join good coaching institute now and work hard.and try to keep very strong fundamentals.

concentrate on 10th exams first. then take admission in good coaching institute like, bansal, fiitjee, resonance for jee preparation. concentrate on 11th and 12th concepts because they'll only help you to crack jee.

you need not to worry at all there's no such requirement of 80% marks for appearing in IIT but you can apply for it only when you either appear for 12th or passed 12th exams.

no it still 60%there were plans to make it 80% but its fine with 60% with that you need to crack iit jee that is to score atleast 240 marks

minmum marks requirement for applying for iit is 60% in 12th so there is no need to worry about getting 80%,if you get more then 60% even then you are eligible for it.

Year of passing qualifying examination (QE): Must have passed the qualifying examination, namely, XII standard or any equivalent examination, after 1st October 2008 or in the year 2009 or will be appearing in 2010

as the persent the minimum marks required for iit jee is only 60%.but it may be varies from time to time.but i thing it will not go upto 80%.
so donot worry.
you should study well now,and in class 11th & 12th you should join the caoching or institute which prepared for iit jee.

the application forms are available in canara bank and its branches.the minimum qualification is that you must be appearing 12th board examination.you must also have taken science .moreover you must not have a gap of more than 1 year .and at least 60%in 12th standard.

hey friend its not compulsory that a candidate has to score more than 80% in 12th...............the basic requirement for it is you must have score more than 60% in 12th and nothing else...........

for cracking it you have to work very hard as this is the most toughest exam in india.........so go for com coaching classes and prepare well for it.........

Further you can give the exam only twice.......

for IIT under graduate exams(IIT-JEE) you must have 60% marks in your 12th exams.if you fullfill this requirements then you can appear in this exams.

i wann a tell u that u have to score 60% in 12th that is least marks in iit ok & if ur sc,st or pd candidates then u can go to 55% ok
u wanna to crack iit then u have to prepare the ur 11& 12th books in afull manner ok there are some topics related to hm im going 2 tell u wen ur in 11th or 12 th it will prepare more & more times ok it will help u the topics are
modern physics,optics,thermodynamics,uhave 2 revision it many times
chemsitry -organic portion,physical,or in organic like u have 2 go to p -block, d- blockmuch more wenu study u knw in maths u have 2 prepare calculas ,coordinates & algebra& much moreok u can g to

i hav just given 12 th board exams nd scored 60% above as aggregate but havent scored 60% in pcm. i wanna drop 1 year and wanna take coachin. shall i do. m i eligable for it next year????

applying for IIT exam you must either be an appearing student in 12th science stream or you must have passed the 12 th board exam the previous years with more than 60% in your physics ,chemistry and mathematics subject.moreover you must work hard on these three subjects since it is not an easy exam.

so make command over your 11th and 12th class subjects.it will not only help you in getting more than 60% in board exam but also you will get selected in IIT JEE exam.

Join some coaching institute right from your 11th and make the concepts clear.

Then do as many problems as possible.That is all enough to clear IIT-JEE.

It is overall percentage of all 5 subject.
So no need to worry about your criteria.

It was going to have this rule that 80% will be the criteria in 12 class for appearing for IIT. but don't worry this bail is not passed in supreme court

there fore it is not requred to score 80% in 12 for appearing IIT JEE.

But the eligibility for IIT jee is 60% aggregate in 12.

must have passed 12 or appearing for final exams.

sorry dude you can't write IIT JEE exams but you can prepare for the same .

first of all you should concentrate on your studies.because to write IIT JEE exam you must clear all your 10 -11 and 12 class.

if you are more determinant and passionate then after your 10 class or at the time of 10 class you must join a coaching and prepare for it.

even they will provide you study materials and they gonna guide you to the well.

What the hell are you talking about. according to the elligibility criteria of IIT-JEE , you need atleast 60% in your 12th with physics,chemistry and maths cumpulsory. there is no need to get 80%. anything greater than 60% is enough. if you really want to crack iit then solve erodov physics, ncert chem and dinesh math.
