Re: What is the role of microbiologist in agriculture sector?
Hello,
In agricultural sector, the role of a microbiologist is very important. Microbiology is involved with knowing microscopic organisms, their affect on human and plant lives etc. It has a great impact on other areas of biology and our human welfare. The need of microbiology in our health, food, agriculture and even industrial development is very much acute. A microbiologist has to check whether newly developed pesticides are working good, how much effect of these are on the public health. Also verifying the implementation of these pesticides in agricultural fields is another important job of microbiologists. There are several jobs as a microbiologist like: Microbiologists. Analysts. Microbiologists in water companies and the Environment Control and Monitor Agency. Technical or science writer. Lecturer/reader/professor in teaching field. Medical Representatives in various pharmaceutical industries. Here are the top colleges for studying microbiology: Delhi University, Delhi www.du.ac.in Gujarat University, Gujarat www.gujaratuniversity.org.in Osmania University , Andhra Pradesh www.osmania.ac.in Punjab University, Chandigarh www.puchd.ac.in Sai College of Medical Science & Technology, Uttar Pradesh www.institutions.education4india.com Sardar Patel University, Gujarat www.spuvvn.edu University of Mumbai , Mumbai www.mu.ac.in/ University of Pune, Pune. www.unipune.ernet.in Aligarh Muslim University, Uttar Pradesh, www.amu.ac.in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi www.aiims.edu All the best! |

the working for the various soil and erosion testing mechanism is done by a microbiologist. The post graduate fields like the ones of environmental ,ecology , soil testing are emerging fields.
if you have a practical enfield in these couses, then it will be very beneficial. |

Re: What is the role of microbiologist in agriculture sector?
Microbiologists has the crucial role to play in the agriculuture sector . He has to work with microbes which are beneficial in agriculture. There are many of the microbes which make crop output more and increase the fertility of crops. May of them could be also pest and weed resistants. All these they have to work with .
Microbiologists could also opt for research work in this field |

Re: What is the role of microbiologist in agriculture sector?
Agricultural Microbiologists are scientists who engage in the study of
micro-organisms that affect agriculture in general...this involves evolving techniques and methods that enhance crop production by means of increasing soil fertility, disease-resistance of food-crops, etc. Nowadays, with the use of microbial pathogens instead of chemical pesticides/insecticides, agricultural microbiologists have assumed a more pronounced role. To be an agricultural microbiologist one needs to study microbiology through UG, PG levels and even engage in reserach/doctoral programs (specializing in Agricultural Microbiology). Courses in Agricultural Microbiology are offered by the University of Agricultural Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University, et al. |

Re: What is the role of microbiologist in agriculture sector?
these days there is great need of increasing the production of Indian fields,
due to increasing population there is great need of increase in food production, microbiologist help in increasing the production through introducing some natural bacterias in the field which help in keeping the fertility of the field intact, hence the role of an microbiologist in agriculture is very huge in the country |

Re: What is the role of microbiologist in agriculture sector?
dear friend,
The role of microbiologist is very important in the agricultural sector as it is concerned with the human health as well as in food sector. The production of new crops, maintaining the fertilizers application in the agricultural lands etc and many more issues greatly depend on the microbiologists. You can indulge into Govt or private research programs in health clinics and also become a pharmacist. Good luck! |
