What are the roles and responsibilities of Food Inspector?


I have completed my Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM). Now, am I eligible to apply for Food Inspector job post? What is the roles and responsibilities of Food Inspector? Which entrance do I need to write for that?

Educational qualification:
Students who have completed their graduation in medicine or holding a bachelors degree in agriculture, pharmacy, food technology and dairy technology are eligible for food inspector post.

18 to 25 years of age are eligible to apply for this post.

DUTIES OF FOOD INSPECTORS:
It is the duty of food inspector to procure and send for analysis under the rules and regulations act. provisioned by govt. If he/she thinks samples of any articles of food, which are coming under the reason to suspect, are being manufactured, stocked or sold or exhibited for sale in anywhere in the society.

The food inspector may inspect live animals and car -cases at a slaughterhouse for examin food imports at a port for mislabelling or other food safety issues.
Inspectors report violations to the appropriate regulatory agency and are responsible for ensuring that foods are suitable for human consumption.
