What is the validity of the Domicile certificate issued in Maharashtra? Is it only 1 year or come with life time validity? Would I have to renew after expiry? Is there any renewal charges?

As per new rules issued by Maharashtra Govt., the validity of Domicile Certificate in Maharashtra has been enhanced to life long.

So, you don't need to renew your Domicile Certificate. Or if your Domicile Certificate is old one, then you can renew it from the Maharashtra Govt. Office.

For Domicile Certificate, you will need anyone of the following documents.

• Proof of Identity (PAN or Passport or Aadhaar or Driving License)
• Proof of Address (Passport or Water Bill or Ration Card or Aadhaar Card or Voter Id Card or Driving License or Electricity Bill)
