What is the basic process to select the candidate in gate and also what is the cut of marks for instrumentation engg.for gate

there is not a different procedure. you just need to sit in the gate exam and obtain good marks. if you can obtain more than 90% then you can take admission in iit and if you are close to 90% then nit. less than that other colleges.

u have to apply for GATE exam,after writing exam they will give you rank,depending on your rank u have to apply for the universities separately.there will be no particular cut off marks,it varies from year to year

The whole prrocess is quiet simple...You need to appear GATE exam first..on the basis of your marks in the GATE exam yo will be selecting your college for doing M.tech..many companies hier trainees directly on the basis of GATE scores...ex. Indian Oil Corp.

It is very simple process.If you get more than the cut-off marks then you will be called as a GATE qualified candidate.According to gate score ranking is determined.

Cut off marks is not constant for every year,it varies according to the numbers of candidates appear in GATE in that year and maximum marks scored on the particular paper.so it is unpredictable.

GATE entrance test is conducted every year for the admission to postgraduate programmes in engineering colleges and institutes. GATE qualified candidates with B.Tech degree or Master's degree are eligible for admission to Post graduate degree programmes in engineering as well as for Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of. firstly you have to appear in the gate exam. and then you have get qualifying gate score.

then while you will do mtech. you will get scholarship.

MHRD Scholarship amount for M.Tech Stipend based on GATE score is fully depends on the interview of the candidate.

the amount is varied from 8000/- to 14000/- p.m.

minimum a candidate will get 8000/-p.m.

Process of getting selected in GATE is only written exam which held on 2nd sunday of Feb. Cut-off for each branch is same in GATE and it is around 25/100 for Gen, 22.5/100 for OBC, 16.5/100 for SC,ST.

Some institutes like IISC bangalore, IIT kanpur and khargpur also take written test and interview before alloting seat at their institution.

no dear most of university give admission with GATE entrance but no need to loss your hope some university also available which offer this course without GATE

and you have scored well marks in b.tech it will not hurt you or disturb you in any field of job
but if you wnat to best college than you have to give entrance test i.t IPU,UPTU,IIT etc

what happens if u score less than cutoff marks u get seat to do m-tech

My gate score is 348.and marks 34 in cs branch . In which collage i am take admition for M.tech.............?????????

I m student of M.E. through gate, I was absent in one paper in 1st sem., after that I cleared that paper in 2nd sem.,and also got good scores in 2nd and 3rd sem. and now in 4th sem., please tell me -am I eligible for scholarship? If yes , then how much?
