Hi, what is this 'Y' group of Indian Air Force all about? What is the eligibility and application procedure? I have scored 56% marks in 12th and 35 in English. Am I eligible to apply?

--> The minimum eligibility criteria required to apply for Indian Air force Airmen Group Y recruitment are as below :-

* You must be an unmarried Indian male candidate.

* Your age must lie within 17 years to 21 years.

* You must have completed your Class 12th in any discipline with at least 50% marks overall from a recognised board. Also, you have managed at least 50% marks in your English paper of Class 12th.

* You must hold the physical fitness as per the service requirement norms.

So, having completed your Class 12th with 56% marks overall but only 35% marks in your English paper of Class 12th, you are noy eligible for Airmen group Y recruitment on the educational requirement ground.
