When and how to join AMIE (Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers)?


Sir, I want know about AMIE (ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP OF INSTITUTION OF ENGINEERS). How to join and fee structure and books? And I want know about Section A and B of AMIE.

AMIE stands for Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers.

It is a B.Tech level exam in engineering, recognized by all State Governments, Central Government, AICTE, UPSC.

You can become a AMIE member through following two procesess i.e.
  • Technician Member (Non-Diploma)
  • Senior Technician Member (Diploma)
AMIE syllabus has two parts i.e.
  • Section A - Total subjects varies as per candidate's qualification (Generally, 4 subjects)
  • Section B - 9 subjects

Hence, candidate has to clear 13 subjects to become AMIE qualified.

Fee Structure:
  • AMIE Section A: 65,000 INR
  • AMIE Section B: 69,000 INR
  • Total fees: 1,35,000 INR
