I am doing my B.Tech in genetic engineering.I want to do my M.Tech also in genetic engineering in a government institute in India itself?????????May I know where can I apply???????????may I know about the expenditures also per year??????

for doing m.tech the best option is appear in gate exam .get good marks and you will get college according to your rank.

Actually this thing very much depends on college and course conducting department.

If a college conducts separate entrance exam for B.Tech. in Genetic Engg. then
candidates with Maths or Biology in 12th; both will be eligible.
If there is common entrance test for all engg. stream then candidate with biology background won't be eligible.

There are very less no. of colleges in India that conducts undergraduate as compared
to no. of colleges offering PG in Genetic Engineering.

For Genetic Engg. criteria is:-

*Candidate must pass graduation/post graduation in genetics or related field like
Biotechnology,molecular chemistry.

*The basic eligibility criteria for a graduate degree (BE / B.Tech) is 10+2 or equivalent examination, with Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics as well as genetics as part of the biology or a bachelors degree in science or molecular biology.
