I am 34 years old. I have completed my M.A and B.Ed from Calcutta university. Now, I am pursuing my M.A in Education from NSOU. My question is that am I eligible for SI exam? If yes, then please tell me some valuable books name for SI exam preparation. Thank you.

SI stands for Sub Inspector. The exam for it is conducted by State governments. The qualification required for SI post is bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university.

The minimum age limit is 20 years or 21 years varying from state to state. The upper age limit is also different for different states. It is 37 years in case of Bihar. There is upper age relaxation for candidates of reserved category.

SI(Sub-Inspector) post examination is held state to state and its age limit differs from one state to another. Relaxation is granted to reserved category candidates.

Those who have completed their Bachelor degree in any stream from any reputed university, are eligible for SI entrance examination.

Age limit is 21-32.
