Sir, I am suffering neuro pain in foot. So, I am unable to do election duty. So, to whom and how should I apply for leave from election duty? What is the procedure? Is any formal written application letter required?

You would need to contact the election commission directly to get the leaves. However, you would need to explain the valid reason with proofs of your problem.

You can contact them through written communication as verbally, they do not consider it valid.

There are very few cases in which they grant any leaves during Election. There are certain cases in which people are not granted enough leaves for their marriage too.
